Logging dates, times and duration
Noise Pollution
United Kingdom
A simple written log of when the noise happens often matters more than any single recording.
Councils look for a pattern. A short, consistent log is the most useful thing you can produce.
For each occurrence, note
- The date and the time it started.
- How long it lasted.
- What the noise was (music, shouting, machinery, barking).
- How it affected you, for example woke you, or could not hear the television.
Keep the log going even after you report. If the council opens a case, they will usually ask you to continue it.
You report this yourself.
Evidentor helps you gather and organise evidence. It does not
send reports to the police, councils, platforms, schools or
employers on your behalf.
