Safety comes before evidence
Domestic Violence
If you are in danger, stop recording and call emergency services first.
Evidence is secondary to your safety. If a situation is violent or escalating, get to a safe place and call emergency services.
If you are safe enough to document
- Stay back. Do not intervene to get a better angle.
- Record from a distance rather than approaching.
- Note the time, the location, and who was present.
- Keep the original footage unedited for the police.
Do not post footage publicly before the police have seen it.
You report this yourself.
Evidentor helps you gather and organise evidence. It does not
send reports to the police, councils, platforms, schools or
employers on your behalf.
